Do we need GOD? or Just a Belief atleast?

Yes, some times..

when your brain is idle..
When you don't have what you need to have..
when it is too hard for you to be in control of yourself..

Lets take this case, when you have no concept of god. no such person, item, power, what so ever.
what will you do when your brain is idle?
our brain has such a limitation, it can't be idle for a long time.. it needs something to do.. something to work with.. or atleast to think about.. So in such a situation you will simply end up trying new things.. most often than not "some bad things" which you have not tried before.. (here I say "BAD" in the sense "something can harm you or others..) because you must have done most of the non-bad things (I didn't say good things) .

"IDLE BRAIN IS THE DEVIL'S WORKSHOP"

So, It is good for many to assume a person or such things to monitor him/her all the times. so he/she will try to be away from such "BAD" things. Sometimes the long rituals that keeps the person busy.. so chances of IDLE brain (doing something "BAD" :-) ) is less..

When you don't have what you need to have?
When your needs (not wants) are not fulfilled.. your call for action is struck.. your commitments yet to be served.. when you feel "is there a future for me?"

You have many things to face, financially, personally, physically, what so ever it may be.. you need to accomplish them.. everything cannot be accomplished in this moment itself. Even if it is done like a magic or miracle, your life will be boring. There again comes the chance of "idle brain".

After all you need something too live with, something to challenge.. something to hope about..!!

coming back to the point, when you feel "is there a hope for me?".... there comes the custom of keeping a supreme, divine person/power (aka GOD :-)) ). So you have a chance to believe in another one. Temporary relief of delegating your problems or issues to another one.. feeling free.. relaxed again..!

Or the other way..! Saying I have a divine power to guide me, so I am confident that I can handle anything. It is hard for many to think and feel confident about facing anything, without that supernatural..!

When it is hard to be in control of yourself?
Almost all of the human beings are not that bold to face uncertainty. They are tied up with their past, their possesions, their relationships..
"It is really hard to loose anyting.. isn't it?"

Their past - has a lot of sweet memories.. may be they think those are sweet. After crossing a hurdle, you feel happy rather than blaming the hurdle. right? So most often than not All of us have sweet memories only. still we expect such sweet things in the future too..! We also believe what we have now is the reason for tasting that sweet. We wish to acquire more than loosing, so as to have more such sweets..! :-)
"when you loose ONE such, you may loose your control. Thinking about the time, money, effort, sacrifice.. you spent to acquire that ONE"

It holds good for your possesions.. and................ relations too..!

When someone dies.......... you are crying because you will not get whatever you were getting before.. love, care, attention, help, encouragement, confidence.. whatever may be.. you know you have lost that all with that person .. thats all gone..
" ooh.. God !! hard to control this draining eye..where the hell are you hiding?" :-)

But the Time and our poor memory helps us to come back to normal. But still we need some grip
(did i say GOD here? :-)) ) during that transition.

So what am i trying to say.. "We need GOD or atleast such belief is needed"
:-) atleast sometimes :-).

Hey GOD? Answer me..! Am I correct? :-)

GOD is NOWHERE..!!

Lets discuss about god. god is there? is he not there? we can question a lot. but what is our definition of god.
1. one who/which is everything
2. omnipotent
3. present everywhere
4. has a control over everything

when we consider the whole universe, which can be present everywhere? what is an acceptable name we can give for that?

what has a control over evrything, or over which we don't have a control? what is an acceptable name we can give for that?

"NATURE" -- can we give this name. yes it is everywhere everything is a subset of nature. This name suits well. right?. We believe we can have a control over the nature but we are not. Simply we understand the rules by which the nature behaves, to some extent.

"NATURE" - yes. I believe in nature. I give this alias to GOD.

Then what about the gods we worship now? no krishna? no shiva? no brahma? no muruga? no vinayaga?. If The GOD is everywhere n he is everything, there can not be anything outside him. Such a thing should be unique because it is the whole thing. So, these are different stories we create from our imagination. We feel that they should be real. So all these names merges to a single matter.

Is he a person? no not possible.. Bible and Gita say "GOD created human race to resemble god himself". But these scriptures are written by some human only. he wrote what he could think of. and want to make his race to be superior. If a dog writes something, it would write like "God created dogs to resemble him".

Ok. Then what is your answer for many individuals who claim to have seen god directly?. Yes they have seen something. they have felt something. they have written something. But Really, they want to justify something which they have seen/felt/written in their subconscious state. when they came to the conscious state, they couldn't explain what happened. there they need a new subject called GOD which they used for a long time to have a belief.

So, My point is GOD is Nature. I believe in Nature.
